Ghass launches ‘Indian Spring’ collection

By October 30, 2017 No Comments

On the 25th October 2017 in a prime London location in Mayfair and during a very exclusive event.

Ghass entrusted his dear and longtime friend David R. Smeralda / Co-owner of GRK Gallery UK to launch on his behalf the ‘Indian Spring’ collection.

With over thirty years of creation and a life course marked by the longest unconventional war of the 20th century between Iraq and Iran, the artist Ghass pursues his “PEACE” program with a new medium for expression.

After Alexander CALDER (1975), Franck STELLA, Roy LICHTENSTEIN, Andy WARHOL and Jeff KOONS, it is artist GHASS’ turn to create a link between the art world and car racing by completely metamorphosing an Alpine A450 (www.alpinea450byghass.com) which was introduced during the launch event of Art Paris in 2017.

For nineteen years, Ghass limited his palette to three distinct colours: red to reflect the sky after a bombing, black in memory of burnt landscapes, and white as a traditional symbol of peace and innocence.

In 2010 after the death of his parents, Ghass decided to introduce a fourth colour, yellow, to his paintings. The new colour came to represent a type of rebirth, a “hymn to life and hope.”

In 2016, Ghass has introduced blue to bring the breath of fresh air the world sorely needs during these tumultuous times.

In 2017, Ghass signed a ten year contract with the French Football League to design the trophy cup for the best football players in France.

What was unique about this event, was the art was exhibited in a private residential penthouse apartment. The wrap around terrace provided stunning views reaching far out across London’s West End and Hyde Park.

Alphashire was very lucky to be working with some amazing names on the night. Roast provided the delicious food and beverage, GC Couture designed bespoke chocolates for the event. Spanish guitarist Joao created the perfect ambience from Liv.Live and the lovely hostesses were a great addition to the elite guest list.

Guests on the night included restauranteur Ciro Orsini, Imagination singer Leee John and the Deputy Ambassador of Panama, Ana Cecilia Alvarado.

Some of the guests had the incredible privilege of tasting Le Cognac du Roi XIV ahead of its launch.
